Here is an old poem I wrote back in 1987 that I wanted to share.
Look Beyond My Face
I hate and I love
but my face hides it all.
So much pain none can see,
so much bitterness that could
harm others, if they should see it too.
The love is there too,
obscure in it's intensity.
It's all hidden within my face.
In the deep trenches of ny soul.
A chosen few will look beyond my face
and see the complex emotions
which lurk inside.
